Now the Big Mac is a divisive burger because some claim the bread is too much, but the bread is not the problem. The art of double decker burgers is one that predates the Big Mac and is quite a good art. The middle bun serves basically as simply the middle part of a larger bun, for a larger burger, and structurally gives it a tastefully unique mouthfeel contrast as well as competent flavor sponge for the special sauce to be slathered through out. It's a perfectly intelligent set up, the real issue with the Big Mac if there ever was one was the fact that the patties are a bit on the small side for the large bun, some will say in the past they used larger patties, some will say this is a lie. In either case, it does raise a good point that the Big Mac patties would benefit from being larger. But regardless, the Big Mac is still a great treat of a burger, albeit not the most filling or satisfying one, many are known to wolf down a Big Mac in a fraction of a minute. But it is quite the taste sensation nonetheless.
