I taught in a Japanese high school for five years. Roughly 700 students, 70% female, 3 grades, so ballpark 233 per grade.
I taught roughly 1,500 students in my time there, and one was noticeably overweight. Just one.
Anyway, this thread isn't really about cooking at all. You could have asked "what would you cook for her" but at its core this is some kind of weird relationship /advice thread, when relationships don't even work like that.

Maybe, but I was a teacher so it's not like I got into any of the pleasant being a Japanese teenager slice of life stuff.
Even the club I taught didn't get into any zany shenanigans.
But I could absolutely see a comfy slice of life show about the school I was at, or even the club I taught.
We made cookies a few times, using my dead mother's recipe. I imported the same ingredients she used.

That's not accurate at all, so no.
That photo was taken in January. It was cold. We never got more than a light flurry, but winter was cold enough in the area.
It only really got hot from June through August where I was.

Calling it tropical is a bit misinformed. Japan has a really varied climate because it's long and fairly vertical. The south is subtropical and hokkaido is taiga. But in the temperate parts the summers get up to like 40°C and the winters can be very cold. A lot of Asia is like this.
