Is onigiri any good?
I mean its just a rice ball with some filling right? doesn't that taste kinda bland?
Why not just make rolls, that way you get actual filling with every bite?

Onigiri is something easy to take and eat anywhere. The taste depends a lot on the filling, and how much of it there is. But there are also different kinds of onigiri. Sometimes the filling isn't only in the middle, it's mixed in with the rice. Sometimes it's covered with egg, or composed of fried rice, or grilled to make it crispy.

The rice is seasoned well. They taste a little bit plain but they aren't bland. Plus they're very cheap and convenient. About 130 yen from a 7-11 or Lawsons. Add a 100 yen black boss coffee from a vending machine and you have an instant easy breakfast.
