So I just picked up the following from my local butcher:

2 16oz cuts of sirloin
3lbs of ground chuck
2 8oz cuts of filet mignon
1lb bacon

I froze everything except for the bacon and filet mignon. The bacon I'm gonna cook for breakfast, filet mignon is dinner. How should I season the filet?

Rosemary, butter, salt, pepper. That’s it, if your meat looks anything remotely as good as your pic.

Beef that looks like the one in the pic tends to not taste that great, in my experience.

If you want that good beef you want that shit that looks like it just fell out of an animal 1 min ago.

You’re too brown to ever taste quality food, so ofc you must drown it in spices to make it edible.

garlic powder is for sauces. use granulated garlic for meat. there is absolutely no reason you should be putting powdered anything in a dry rub, it defeats the whole purpose

freezing raw ground is a huge mistake. You should have made the chili and frozen that.
