You would like bavaria. In the other parts of Germany we don't eat pretzels and weißwurst often. Also that whole "typical" German look like on this >>14362312 picture is typical bavaria. You will probably be disappointed if you visit another part of Germany, because it won't be what you expect.

If you don't know where to look you will find mostly standard international cuisine.
German cuisine mostly happens at home since it was deemed plain and boring at some point in the 80s.

That's not real cuisine though. One is a slice of fish in a breadroll with some salad and onions, while the other is just a glorified cinnamon roll.
The only things saving our "native" cuisine are Labskaus (a bunch of shit that sailors often ate mashed together), Backfisch (whole, fried fish), and a variety of dishes from elsewhere in Germany. Plus eel soup maybe.
