There is nothing special about New York pizza.
I could go right next door to Jersey, Connecticut, even Massachusetts for similar quality pizza. Whether it be gourmet, family owned, or a cheap satisfying dollar slice.
New York is nothing special

Mostly agree, except that as with any kind of food only about 1% can arguably compete for being called "the best" and New York has like 5,000 pizza restaurants. Therefore we've got about 50 that could be vying for "the best" whereas you're lucky if you have even one in your town.

You can’t get dollar slices in Massachusetts. We have a few really good places here, but NYC is better overall.

I don't disagree. You can find a really good joint on most streets whereas it's a little less dense elsewhere

Correct. In fact San Francisco had a letter pie because of the local sourdough yeast that is a regional staple and only possible locally. SF dough is the best in the world.

Yes, it wasn't that good tbqh. And the Mozz was tough, like it spent a summer in Jersey sucking off Tyrone for hits of smack.

Yeah, I'm from and in NY. There's nothing about some creepy bitch like that making my pizza. That's hollywood bullshit and to be avoided.

sbarro, gtfo! that was only bullshit left over heat lamps. Apparently the only ones they have left because they sucked so much is one in times square and a few in airports for tourists that don't any better. Nobody that grew up in NYC would ever go to or buy sbarro shit. That place should just die already.

>> No.14320635

The only reason that I can think of sbarro still existing is that it's a money laundering operation.

a lot of people live there and want something to be proud of

I'd guess a lot of them don't get the chance to travel unless they're rich and if you're rich it's kind of weird to travel around tbe country eating pizzas
