I've never thought about adding rice to chili, I assume it works well.

I like to do canned beef stew over mashed potatoes, as a similarly horrid look, but taste pretty bomb.com

I will add chili to mac and cheese, for chili-mac. I'll eat chili by itself on crackers, I'll melt cream cheese into the chili to make a dip for tortillia chips (favorite thing to do with chili)

I eat a lot of soups and end up mixing in rice to most of them. Makes it run a little longer before i have to make another soup since that's more effort than making 3 cups of rice or so per batch of soup
