No its a great idea I am having fun with it, just going a mushroom in a bottle.

>> No.14237989

There are ZERO nutritional benefits to drinking it, and if you dont care for it properly you can seriously fuck yourself up.
To me, it seems like something you should maybe buy once to taste it(it isnt good), and then drop the idea of every drinking it again, because again, there are NO HEALTH BENEFITS to it. Your body processes it exactly like water. It aint green tea, or some other 'super food' BS that atleast raises your odds of fighting off a cold by 0.03% while still tasting bad...

probiotics are good. I guess they changed up your shit cycle and you freaked out or something?

You sound like a green tea merchant

No, i think drinking tons of tea is also BS.
I drink water... Thats it.... Cause 99/100, its the best thing for you.

what do probiotics actually do to people that are otherwise healthy that is measurably beneficial?

>> No.14238055

>>14238036
They help keep your gut bacteria healthy and at high levels, which helps with digestion.
I'm pretty sure there are no probiotic benefits to kombucha though. I dont remember where i read it, but even new age hippies were very clear that its something to drink ONLY for the flavour. If you need probiotics, eat yogurt(which also has fats and proteins, and if its compromised you'll be able to very clearly see/taste it. Which is not the case at all with kombucha. Risking botulism for something that best case scenario, tastes like shit, seems like a stupid proposition)

>> No.14238056

I've been brewing the past half year. Its fun and pretty easy. If you like the taste of kombucha, give it a shot. Makes for a bomb ass mixer.

>> No.14238058

>>14237535
I don't really see a point when you can get kombucha in a bottle anywhere these days. If you're putting that much effort in, at least make something novel like mead.

>>14238005
>>14238023
Probiotics are real but unless you just had a week of food poisoning clear up and you're still feeling sick after antibiotics, probably pointless.

>> No.14239628

Kombucha's main health benefits come from all the cool acids (e.g. acetic) mostly- probiotic benefits are secondary at best.

It's a good idea if you enjoy the taste of kombucha.

Done right, it's easy and efficient. I brew using a continuous brewer, so I always have a steady stream coming in. My bottles are cheaper, fizzier, and tastier than store bought. I just throw my excess fruit in the bottle and let it go. I find strawberry + vanilla makes a delicious and complex soda.

Kombucha is an excellent alcohol substitute, too. Friends enjoy when I show up to a BBQ with a huge bottle of homemade booch. Much less harsh than drinking IPAs. It looks impressive and tasty if you bottle it in clear glass.

I'm sure people will be very sad when you poison yourself with contaminated kombucha. But you'll have the last laugh, since it wont be from botulism, just one of the many other deadly bacterias... And in the end, that one minor victory makes up for your pointless death right?

Mmmm. I dont think you've had enough experience or research to speak with authority on this topic.
I always have a comfy/healthy stomach feeling after I drink it. Its really good for an upset stomach or general gastric distress.
Its also super easy to make, and if you fuck it up and are unable to notice, youre probably already worth dying anyways.

Id recommend making it if you enjoy trying new things, its not hard at all.
