With Christina, Priya, and Sohla, it seemed like an issue of seniority. They just weren't around long enough to have their own shows, but had this kept up I feel that one of them getting one would be an inevitability.

They have drinks with names like "No Hombre Left Behind" and "The Blood of Christ." The restaurant name "Hail Mary" already invokes thoughts of ethnic food thanks to Catholic/hispanic associations, and those kind of deepen that idea. They also have deep fried burrata on the menu which is pretty unusual for what's supposed to be a retro American diner. I feel there are some mixed signals going out here. And again, pricy hipster joints in Brooklyn are not known for having boring food you could get cheaper at some suburban diner, so obviously you're not targeting the right clientele in that location already and thus again they will try to figure out what the "twist" is; not because they're racist or because you're brown, but because EVERY OTHER RESTAURANT IN THAT AREA HAS A TWIST because it's the hip thing to do.
