I'm waiting for UberEats background check to go through. I was actually on it making $1k a week but apparently yearly background checks are a thing. Now it's been a month and it still sends pending.

Why do delivery fees exist for door dash? If you deliver for a restaurant why do they charge a delivery fee?

I know, UberEats is the best in my market. Grubhub is second best, then Doordash. I got banned from Postmates for cancelling but it was the shittiest anyway.

Thank you courier bros for making it so I don't have to cook anymore.

What expenses? I'm not a cage-cuck

meme, I've gone into some very dirty elevators in the projects and still haven't gotten it.

I haven't done DD for a few weeks. Just got a new wagecuck job and might Dash again just to have money to save. The best orders in my market were easily Wingstop and Chipotle.
Wingstop had consistent $10-20 orders, might take a minute but i can see if the bag is ready from the parking lot.
Chiptole is $7-12 and very local so I can do a bunch in a short period of time.
>>14097316
Should be $22 an hour average if you're in a decent market. That is still over min wage if you account for gas and your states mileage. The latter you can write off in taxes.

I order from these places all the time and I never tip at all. I appreciate you guys subsidizing my lifestyle.

>> No.14097504

~17/hr right now, but have been declining a lot of shitty $3 for 7 miles trips. Best order I had was a chipotle catering that comprised of 1 box of food to be delivered 2 miles away for $50

>> No.14097523

So how many orders do you get for Chinese food? I fear a lot of the local Chinese-American restaurants aren't going to make it. :/

>> No.14097539

I ordered doordash and the bitch didn't even bother picking up my meal. I called the resteraunt and they said no one came. The resteraunt called her and she didnt pick up.

I called her and she picked up, I explained I was waiting for her delivery and she hung up on me. I called DoorDash and they refunded the meal. I went to pick up the meal myself and it was free cause they said it was already paid for.

That isn't enough. I would like to get that girl fired.

Mileage specifically accounts for vehicle wear and can be written off in your taxes. Courier insurance is not a requirement and retarded unless you're doing it full time. Your basically grasping at straws because it is still over min wage with all the shit you attempted to add in.

What are some reasonable distances for delivery in a place like Brooklyn? I pretty much never order from more than 2 miles away because it seems too far, but >>14097504 suggests that's a low-end distance.

>> No.14097720

I work for a place that recently started using uber eats.
We make the drivers show us that they started the delivery before giving them the food, mainly because one of my coworkers said they would constantly deal with drivers taking the food and saying they never got it.
How often do you scumbags do this?

>>14097720
that might just be your area because I have heard the same thing but it's probably a lot to do with the type of people in that area. So if it's Uber eats that's probably what it is because Uber eats is one of those few companies that doesn't really do a lot of background checks and they don't keep tabs on what's going on.

I tip about 5 bucks for ubereats or door dash when I happen to use it. Any delivery, really. I didn't use to tip well until I lived in a shit, low income area that had a lot of foreign tourists that didn't acknowledge tipping. I ordered the first night, fucker took 40 minutes longer than normal (probably thought he wouldn't get shit), but I still tipped him 7 dollars. Every time I'd order from that place after that, they'd be there literally earlier than they said it would be to cook the food. So yeah, it's not out of being nice and shit, I just want the service to not be trash

Same field, he's not bullshitting. There's specific insurance that will cover you for this, but if you're caught doing your job with your car and without that insurance, you're going to be fucked. And depending on the situation, no, you can't easily lie out of it
