Most of them are born in an enclosure anyway so they don't know any other life besides being there. Of course they feel pain, but it's just a sad necessity, say what you want, but normal people just need to have a schnitzel sometimes because of our genes. I'll welcome any alternative that doesn't taste like shit or cost 10 bucks for 5 slices though.

I can drive for an hour and see the farm, even know the guy personally.
There is no animal cruelty going on there.

The only reason the pig is bred and born to start with is for consumption.

The land it is living on would be used nonetheless if we were not to eat those ,and their wild counter part would still be chased/killed if they ever came close, like pest.

Considering switching pigs with any other species would only mean comparing intelligence, feeling, reason and/or sentience, looking for a hierarchy. That would be presumptuous as fuck.

I go with treat animals well and use most of the body part. But even that is quite idealistic.
