For me, it's the McChicken. The best fast food sandwich. I even ask for extra McChicken sauce packets and the staff is so friendly and more than willing to oblige.

One time I asked for McChicken sauce packets and they gave me three. I said, "Wow, three for free!" and the nice friendly McDonald's worker laughed and said, "I'm going to call you 3-for-free!".

Now the staff greets me with "hey it's 3-for-free!" and ALWAYS give me three packets. It's such a fun and cool atmosphere at my local McDonald's restaurant, I go there at least 3 times a week for lunch and a large iced coffee with milk instead of cream, 1-2 times for breakfast on the weekend, and maybe once for dinner when I'm in a rush but want a great meal that is affordable, fast, and can match my daily nutritional needs.

I even dip my fries in McChicken sauce, it's delicious! What a great restaurant.

the owner/head chef was an old school italian named luigi and was prone to having.... "outbreaks"

my very first day i took care of starters and desserts, and i wanted to ask how i was to plate a specific dessert, so i walked over to luigi. he had however just found out that one of the waiters had ordered one plate of spaghetti too much. so he picked up the plate, threw it into a wall with full force, porcelain and sauce flew everywhere and spaghetti slowly ran down the wall, and luigi starts screaming at the waiter at the top of his lungs and waved his arms around in the air.

When I worked at a movie theatre in concessions, depending on the day and time we’d get about 3 people an hour getting food, so we would create goofy food with the shit we had. One kid took a popcorn bag, filled it with nacho cheese, put just enough popcorn on top to seem like a regular bag of popcorn, then asked coworkers if they wanted some and got their hands all cheesy.

Yes, but for the most part in restaurants, especially smaller ones, managers at some point have gotten their hands dirty and have made their bones in the industry (I know this is not the case in big chains). They are not some asshole with a degree that says “hey, you can’t tell this guy he can’t work for shit because if he gets fired he might sue us” even though 99.9/100 low lives who cause problems in a restaurant and get fired do not have the mental capacity to even think about suing, let alone suing.
Even at Pizza Hut franchise I worked at as a teenager, all the District Managers I knew, and the store managers all started off as cashiers, cooks or drivers. Their HR was tucked away in some office away from the stores they owned and never got involved with day to day bullshit.

I find a Fred's, load my cart with sauce and go to check out.

When I got here the kitchen was fucked. People were quitting left and right, there was too much work and too few people to do it. All the proteins were frozen garbage and they used a steamer to cook all their meats and vegetables. In the first few days the guy that hired me was fired, I had a cook show up strung out on meth and people were calling out of work left and right. It took working every day for 35 days straight, 10-14 hours a day to fix everything wrong, and then we had the Corona virus. It was a nightmare that any sane individual would have walked away from, however I am insane, and took it as a challenge. I could go way more into detail about how dirty and unorganized everything was, but to actually answer your question: I love my employees. Each one of them has gone through ups and downs with me, but every time I forgave them, and it's built one of the strongest Kitchens staffs anyone on this board could ever see. My kitchen is fucking clean top to bottom, organized and staffed with cooks and servers that love working here. Everyone gets along like family, and it's because we've been through so much shit together that these people treat me with respect. They know what lengths I'll go to to get them raises and make sure they have a stress free and clean work environment, no matter how much corporate tries to intervene.
