Yeah, I shouldve baked them on higher heat or something because I disliked how the outside turned out. other than that it was fine. Maybe brown them first before baking? I dunno...

Anyway, heres some peppers i thought looked nice once i sliced em

I doubt it. It's probably some fake imitation balsamic.

In any case it's way too much of it. Of course any amount is too much if it's the fake shit.

Good concept, but try thighs next time. Make sure not to cover the meat in veggies as well. Give the heat room to circulate so things brown. Maybe try broiling it for a few minutes at the end to crisp up the skin. The juices on the bottom should taste amazing over rice. Good attempt, just need to modify a few things. Also so balsamic might not be bad, depends on your tastes.

the mistake you made was likely that the meat was too moist. you want the skin to be as dry as possible. next time try patting dry and then maybe even putting in front of a fan for a half hour to dry it out.

Your food looks good OP. Keep accumulating skills and trying new things.

Also, ask your dad what he thinks is good, and try to make your version of it. Might be a good way to bridge the gap. Ultimately though, you have to cook what you like.

Okay, that's enough wholesomeness, I gotta go call someone a slur.

In addition to patting your chicken dry before seasoning it, you can add some baking powder (not soda) to your rub, it aids in getting crispy skin.

It looks great! You should add some chicken stock when cooking, to make a natural gravy. And then after, if you add a corn starch and seasoning to the stock it makes a great thick sauce.

Basmati rinsed well then soaked for 15 mins to extend the grain. Cooked with anise, cardamom pods, olive oil, salt and pepper. I bought a 10 lb bag in late jan when I realized we were heading to quarantine.

Speaking of which... anyone know what kind of storage bin is really good for 9 fucking pounds of rice btw? Very delicious but it's in a bag getting air. I figured some type of Japanese technology would do the trick but thought maybe anon would know.
