I own a deep fryer and it definitely is. However they weren’t better when I wanted to solely use the oven. I figure you need to either grill, or fry (air/oil) for better ones.

Except you'd have to buy half a dozen chickens to make a plate of wings and now you have several pounds of chicken that you have to use up in a few days

>> No.13901859

>>13901207
Extremely. But here's a protip:
Order the chicken tenders a la carte instead of the boneless wings.

The boneless wings are 88 cents apiece when not on """sale""" Mondays and Tuesdays for 60 cents apiece, but one tender is equal to or larger than three boneless wings. One tender is $1.53, giving you the equivalent of three 51 cent boneless wings; even cheaper than when the boneless wings are on sale.

Also place your order with the free included dips, then ask for a couple more dips when you pick it up. They'll say "they're 99 cents" or whatever, just look deflated and meekly say "Oh... would you mind...?" Works every time, retail workers dgaf.

chinese restaurants have the best wings hands down:
>you get the full wing

so your paying 3 times as much for 3 times less food

How much do you really save when you consider the cost for all of the condiments, the oil to fry them, the time spent preparing and cleaning up? My guess is not that much, if you can afford it making wings at home really isn't all that worth it unless it is for a party or something where you are making a lot of them.

>> No.13903467

Are you retarded? Wings aren't the same as fried chicken.

Dust em in baking powder before baking em is the trick. Lowers the temperature that the Maillard reaction happens, so they get nice and crispy on the outside but still remain juicy on the inside.

We do that and then sauce them restaurant style afterwards, and you'd be hard pressed to tell them apart from deep fried.

Chowing down on some Wingstop while watching comfy episodes of The Non-Family sounds like a real good time. I'm going for it.
