Hey guys, I have a bit of a dilemma. I need to reheat some Pizza Hut and don't have a microwave. I also don't have a cookie sheet, pizza stone, or dish that I can put the pizza on top of before sticking it in the oven. I do not want to put the pizza slices on top of one of the wire grates (maybe they're called racks?) inside the oven.

Is it safe to put a pizza in the oven when it is still in the box? I don't plan to have it in there that long. I don't think cardboard burns that easily, I just want to get the pizza warm and the cheese a little melty.

Should be fine. I encourage this action.

You don't have a single plate or dish that can go in the oven?

>> No.13897849

warm them in a pan on the stove top.

>> No.13897864

you dumb motherfucker, put it on some tinfoil.

if you own a plate that isn't plastic you can use that too.

>> No.13897868

Just sit on it for a while.

Paper burns at 451 degrees, so if you're just warming it to 300 or so, you should be fine. That said, if you're such a spaz you don't even own a pizza pan or cookie sheet, you'll probably fuck this up too, and burn your house down. Good luck, anon.

I already thought of this, but for some reason I don't have aluminum foil.

In any case you dumbmother fucker, tin foil is no longer manufactured and has been superseded by aluminum foil so blow your dumb remarks right out your ass.

Says the guy who has not yet joined the 16th century and lacks metallic cooking utensils. Try harder.

Just use anything that isn't paper or plastic anon. You'll probably try to take it out of the oven with your bare hands when it looks done, so keep some cold water nearby.

I don't think so. I have a couple ceramic plates but I honestly have no idea if they're oven safe. It doesn't say on the bottom.

I had a baking dish that was oven safe, but I'm pretty sure I threw it in the woods behind my house after I fucked up making jerk chicken and had all kinds of stuff stuck to it.

forgot to mention if you're incredibly desperate and poor...

Make a ghetto ass baking rack from your (hopefully) metal utensils. 6 knives side by side or whatever and you won't have to worry about the pizza fucking off through the grate.

The cheese will drip through though and smoke on the element, but whatever take that as a reminder to be better prepared.

STOVE TOP, get them nice and crispy on bottom and finish with a cover to melt the cheese.

You ever seen a pizza hut pan pizza? Neither of these will work.

The pan method might work if you also have a lid for your pans but if OP doesn't even have some fucking Al foil then a pan lid is a stretch.

Honestly cardboard box should be fine. You only reheat at like 350 or less. I've done it before.

Also, get yourself a toaster oven. They make ones that do toast in the top and a toaster oven underneath that are cheap, compact, and cheap. Seems like those aspects might be important to OP. Take up less space than a 4 slice toaster and are perfect for reheating those lonely meals. They do a slightly below average job of making toast though, if that's real important to you.

Forgot pic. This one's fiddy bucks from Hamilton Beach but I've seen sales and/or knockoffs for under 30. It's what I had in residence for space, and never replaced because it's enough and nothing more.

He has plates at least, and presumably a tshirt as a last stretch. You can very easily do this method.
>no Al Foil
>no covers for pans/pots

>350 for reheating
I literally did this yesterday. 300 took too long to melt the cheese and just dried it out more than anything. 350 was a nice cheese-melts-as-bread-gets-warmed temp. But to each their own. Could be my oven, residential gas ovens are notoriously poor at regulating lower temps.

>> No.13898205

I usually do 400 for 7+ minutes for the pan especially so it's crispy and warm throughout, funny enough the first search engine result for OP was HOW HOT CAN CARDBOARD BE and it's 450 before it ignites.

>for the pan
You mean for their pan pizza? I always found the difficult part was making the crust not TOO crispy. It's already crispy enough, but again, to each their own.

Anyways, OP has already:
A) burned his house down,
B) eaten cold pizza, or
C) burned his house down
by now so. Rip OP either way. Cold is no way to enjoy bread, meat, or cheese, let alone all of them together on the world's greatest hot meal. Never understood why some people prefer it cold as leftovers, but then remember "there are people turned on by feces", give up on humanity, and move on.

Yeah the pan crust pizza, the regular crust is way too sweet and thin crust is just a cracker.
And yeah really depends on your pizza hut, the one I used to get all the time was undercooked when it was fresh so I barely got it though it was the cheapest delivery option so I still ended up getting it some days. Where I live now it is always cooked right but don't order as much as I used to so little to no leftovers.

I found the best way to reheat day old pizza in the oven is to place it on a baking sheet and then set it to 425 degrees. Once it's done preheating it's fine to take out.

This. If it's already cold, start it toppings side down. As the pan heats up, it'll start to sizzle as the cheese melts. Let it sizzle for about a minute, then flip it over then and keep it there until the crust is melty.
