I had rude service at the New Haven Chipotle. I won't bore you with the whole story, but while assembling my burrito, I asked to quickly taste-test the brown rice... I heard the B word whispered between two employees and a lot of hum hawing, and waited about 5 minutes for them to figure out how to offer me a spoonful. I went with the white rice, oh well, as the brown rice was undercooked and hard/crunchy (as I suspected). The hard rice seems to be a constant issue with them, since this wasn't even the first location where I've seen it.

Went on their app and somehow did a web survey when I got back to my hotel room after eating (maybe they even offered it?I forget). Filled it out because I was bored waiting for an appointment. Got a phone call from a Chipotle manager that they came in on their day off, and had called a "team meeting" (it was only like 35 minutes after my survey), and profuse apologies.Wow! Did I want free food? No, I didn't care. But, this was immediately after their 3rd or 4th poisoning issue nationwide, so I had been surprised they had some low class workers without customer service training in the first place. College town, I guess. But, they handled it fast and surprisingly well.

I will sometimes accept a refund when I'd rather send something back in a restaurant, but I never take freebies. I always feel like it makes me seem like a liar to get free things, ya know? But, I won't slam a restaurant on yelp or something that circumvents a manager's ability to fix a problem. If they're local, I just want them to fix their issues so they don't go out of business if I like them.

Was served a beetroot dish in a michelin star restaurant. Pic related - It was some sort of beetroot risotto and it was just fucking disgusting. Of our table of 4, we probably only ate one serving between us. Normally even the worst dishes in these kind of places are still pretty good. This was just horrible.

They looked a bit surprised when they cleared the plates and didnt really know how to react to us clearly disliking it.

I was once eating at a very fancy restaurant on the waterfront back in Perth Australia. Since it was a family meal I ordered a lobster based dish. Somehow in the middle of my lobster were ceramic pieces which ended up cutting the inside of my mouth. Turns out there were parts of a broken plate. They replaced it and also took the meal off the bill.
As we were paying through an abbo stole the charity box and also grabbed some sods meal.

I’ve been to a few Michelin Star restaurants as I’ve traveled to different countries and I’ve never really enjoyed them that much. There’s always a few dishes I like but for the most part they aren’t really that satisfying. I’ll never understand why people enjoy going and spending hundreds of dollars on tiny portions that you are forced to dress up to eat while sitting in a pretentious environment where all the waiters feel like they must pull your chair out for you and wipe your ass when you shit. Usually I never complain and just never go back, so many restaurants and I prefer home cooking or buying from the grocery store, I hate the restaurant experience where I am served and I don't get to pick my food. Buffets are better if I go when it opens and oher people aren't gross.

I ate at some sort of charity spaghetti dinner thing and they fucked up the spaghetti beyond human comprehension. My closest assumption of what they did was toss the spaghetti into cold water and then bring it up to a boil before overcooking it by 15 minutes and then leaving it in the hot water for an hour before serving it. They actually made me feel bad for giving to charity by not demanding my money back.
