I got to just under half a handle a night and started having terrible withdrawals so i quit for a month and a half or so and it was a much needed break. Usually im able to keep it at about 6-8 shots a night now but of course things get out of hand occasionally.
If you feel like you need a hard reset, I recommend it. It sucks but it pays dividends (getting fucked up again is more fun afterwords)
