ive tried it at a three places and from those experiences: overrated. it's tomato sauce with eggs. it's tasty with good bread but in the end it's a big vat of acid, and bread with a dipping sauce is hard to mess up.
add some pork or beef or beans or lentils or cream or all of the above, and fuck it, add some eggs. it's a weak bolognese or shitty chili.

I'm a rabbi. One time I made fart around Moslems, and they all proclaimed that the smell from my kosher anus made them hongry, and that day a king moslem was so hongry he wanted the recipe, but it was just a kosher fart, so I told him about my ass fart. Then they all started pressing bottles, and their jars to my bottcheks for my farts. Because king moslem was buying kosher farts at a premium.
That day they were all stealing mein farts from my bottcheks.

My family used to be friends with an Iranian family, and my friend's grandmother made two incredible deserts: some sort of rosewater-soaked cake and dense, brown cookies that tasted strongly of cardamom, perhaps made with gram flour. Actually, Iran and Persia are synonymous: Iranians are Persians. "Persia" was the de facto name for Iran in the west until sometime in the 20th century. The term "persian food" is usually more common in western countries where Iranian expats usually try not to evoke the negative connotations of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Both terms accurately describe the OP's pic.

>The term "persian food" is usually more common in western countries where Iranian expats usually try not to evoke the negative connotations of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
The Iranians in western countries are mostly Christians who fled Iran, so the word Iran, and Iranians in the West aren't stigmatized, or generally associated with modern day "Islamic Iran".

Persia is an exonym so using "Persian" to mean Iranian is inherently inaccurate. Persians are a specific ethnic group. Azeris, Turkamans, Lors, Arabs, Armenians, Kurds, Balochis, etc are not Persian despite being Iranian.
