Urban, USA and most food is available in stores except dry rice, beans, pasta (which sell out early in the day).
Same with fresh chicken and pork.
Most produce is available, but bananas seem to disappear fast.
I haven't been able to find ginger root in over a week now. Not sure if that's because the supply line is gone, or if it's a clue as to what kind of people are doing the vast majority of the hoarding.

Ginger root fans seem to be who I have to tell to put back 8 of the ten gallons of milk they just yanked off my shelf.

Staple foods, TP and soap are depleted. There's tons of pork still available on the deli counters and butchers' counter because the mohammedans are hoarding all the beef, lamb and chickens. Just as well I like pork.
No cavolo nero cabbage available, interestingly enough, but I was able to snag a big, nice-looking cauliflower.

supply varies from store to store, the walmart near my house was partially cleaned out, a fry's in the far north part of the city (rich people area) was mostly cleaned out. The albertsons on the east side of me was out of TP, watter, eggs and beeg, but most everything else was in reasonable supply. I'm good for possibly 2 weeks when eggs, milk, and bread run out. I can make my own bread and have more than enough flour for the next several months but home made bread does not keep well. I have not been to costco since 3-5 so I don't know what they are like. most delivery services have 3 to 4 day waits. I did an inventory of my deep freeze, and freezer and estimate we have enough food for 1.5 to 2 months, or 2 to 3 with heavy rationing. this is the normal amount of food I keep in my house.

The commonality shown in these situations is that TP is selling out while things like canned goods and other staples are not selling as fast. Seems funny to me given this is a resp illness and not a GI one.

And it's funny. I developed a sore throat right before going to work today and was advised not to come in due to company policy stating if you feel even a little bit sick don't report. Gotta call in tomorrow and reassess the situation.

Almost everything is in stock except TP. Went to the store 2 different times, once in the afternoon and once early the next morning. First time there was no chicken to be had at all and most of the 20% ground beef was gone but plenty of 10/7%. All other meats fully stocked. Most of the soups and canned beans/chili were gone but plenty of bread.
Next morning there was a lot of boneless/skinless chicken breast but that was it for chicken and the 20% ground beef was restocked but the other kinds were gone. All the soups and beans were restocked and all the hotdog/hamburger buns were gone except the store brand which looked freshly stocked.
Overall not too bad. I got big orders of TP and paper towels from amazon last week so I'm all set.

big city in australia
status: a couple days ago I went to do the shopping, I planned for 2 weeks of dinners (normally I only plan one week) and bought a few more packs of cereal and noodles to cover breakfast, and lunches if I don't have an extra serving at dinner to use for lunch the next day.
Still no toilet paper available, but I got a big pack just as the retards started panic buying so I'm good with that.
I had to make some adjustments once I got to the store as most of the cheaper meats was all gone, basically none of the bulk packs of chicken, no whole chicken, I don't like pasta anyway but that was gone, got a bag of flour which I made some bread with today, no more canned vegetables or sauces. regular and light long-life milk is gone and so is milk powder, but I did manage to get a bit of skim milk, which is okay since I don't drink much milk or need full fat.
Luckily I started stocking up a bit more than usual when I did the shopping earlier this year because of the big lockdowns in China, so I have a decent supply of tomato, corn, chickpeas, rice, breadcrumbs.
My dinner plan has ended up being:
>Week 1 (starting Wednesday)
Chicken burger
Chicken burger again since I only used half the packet on Wednesday.
Hamburger
Sausages (might do them in a tomato & vegetable stew)
Turkey Rissoles with chips or mashed potato
Chicken Noodle Soup
Pork Roast
>Week 2
Chicken Satay Stir Fry
Sausages
Beef Stew
Chicken Nuggets & Chips
Pork Roast
Chicken
Chicken Wings

It's pretty basic but it'll get the job done and I wouldn't have been able to fit anything more into the freezer anyway.

I'm thinking that in another week or two, all the dweebs who went on a panic spree buying toilet paper are going to start realizing that they have plenty of it. After that, toilet paper should be much easier to find.

Not that I'm worried, though. We have something like 150 rolls of toilet paper. Not from panic buying -- we just buy it at a Sam's Club that is 100 miles from the house and so when we make a trip there, we buy enough of most things to last 6 to 12 months.

Long lines in the morning to get into HEB, and the stores that aren't implementing lines are wiped. Went to try and get some stuff to make gumbo at a smaller Kroger, got the veg and spices just fine, found some sausages, but the meat section was completely empty of everything except for a few lonely racks of ribs and single packaged ribeyes. No gumbo for me. Still out of all packaged water, the canned food is decimated except for the shit no one wants, there was NO flour, hardly any sugar.
At least the ribeyes were good.

I work at publix and the worst was a couple weeks ago when everyone was buying up shit before limits. Not uber terrible right now desu. Rice, pasta, and beans are picked through, unless you get the more expensive ones. There is still milk, but it depends on the time of day and 2% is always gone. Toilet paper is gone first thing in the morning and most meat is gone in the late afternoon or limited; excluding fish. It's not too bad though. Gas stations have milk as well, and I noticed produce is staying in stock better. Also it's a good time to check out your niche grocer. Pic related is from the asian store, which was pretty stocked up still; kinda sadly. It'll probably keep getting better after all the Karen's have panicked bought. The worst are people acting like, "What are we going to do if they closed down you guys" and just having bad vibes in general.
