Any advice on food nutrition books? I swear as a kid my mom gave me a bunch of them, but I didn't really read them. Seems like when I try to google "Best nutrition books" I get mostly clickbait propaganda and fatties "can."
So, /ck/ what's your fave nutritional info book?

I'm not necessarily looking for advice, I just want to read about nutrition and have more knowledge on it as a whole.

>Professor Joe Schwarcz of McGill University recommends Greger's videos but says they contain "cherry-picking of data" and that Greger has swallowed veganism "hook, line, and sinker".[4] Sceptic and physician Harriet A. Hall has also criticized Greger's video Uprooting the Leading Causes of Death, saying his videos are part of a genre featuring "a charismatic scientist with an agenda who makes sweeping statements that go beyond the evidence, makes unwarranted assumptions about the meaning of studies, and omits any reference to contradictory evidence"
No thanks, I'll skip the demagogue.

I don't understand why this question comes up so much. It is. Is excessive amounts of it good for you? No, excessive amounts of anything is bad. Look at the lady who drank what 2 maybe 3 giant water cooler jugs of water and died.

Go talk to a doctor and then a real nutritionist. Im giving this thread about 8 more posts before it becomes about full carnivore vs vegan diets.

Greger gives good info but I disagree with his philosophy.
I followed Greger for a year when I had a leaky gut related intestinal damage and gallbladder problem. It cured me. My motility problems were solved. However I couldn't eat an ascetic sick man's diet forever. I now eat the way of the whey of the Gym Bro. I now know red meat will cause my system more stress but that it is worth it on a metabolically intense day like leg day where I need MFP factor for iron and carnitine and every other meaty minutia in my favor. As long as that stress pays off in accomplishing a rhythm of consistent good habits I've made serious gains. I gained 40 lb in 3 months albeit I'm now 15% body fat where I used to be 5% body fat when I was the skinniest skeleton in Auschwitz. I'm actually thinking about doing some research and writing my own book on how Rhythm is the key to cooking for your activity. I think it's best to eat heavy the day before or the day of your heaviest workout day, then light for the lightest workout then medium then heavy. For me it follows a Push Day Pull Day Leg Day routine.
