>spray pan
>drop in 2 eggs
>add salt/pepper/random meat or veggie
>medium heat and put on lid
>leave it the fuck alone for a few minutes
>roll into a protein taco and slid onto plate

Costs $0.70 to make a 6 minutes from pan to mouth and takes less effort then brushing your teeth. Why in christ's holy name do people spend $4 on a "breakfast sandwich" at a fast food place?

>> No.13746015

Because sometimes I don't want to make it for myself. It sucks that $4 is a hardship for you, but some of us actually work for a living and don't give a shit.

I only buy fast food that's 300 or more calories per dollar. The bacon and chorizo breakfast rollers at Del Taco satisfy this condition.

If you can wait in line for 3-4 minutes you can spend an extra one to make it at home.

So, you just make a lazy omelet? Why not put in a bit of work and make a real omelet?

What the hell else can you do? You mix the yolk and white and let it solidify. Poking or proding it doesn't help any. Hell the most time invested is when you actually roll it when it is done.

restaurant food tastes better than my food and i always use coupons
you'd need 18 eggs ($2.85) to equate the caloric value i can get from 2 jack in the box sandwiches for $4 and at that point it's splitting hairs and a waste of time

Economically you should purchase food such that marginal utility per dollar of good x equals the marginal utility per dollar of all other goods. Calories will be a higher or lower portion of utility dependent on individual tastes and circumstances. Which is why people always argue about everything like in this thread.

Do you really not know how to make an omelet? What are you doing on this board, just making McChicken threads?
>in fry pan, cook your preferred ingredients
>in separate pan, add butter and oil, bring up to temp
>when pan is hot, add beaten eggs with salt and pepper
>let omelet cook, pulling up the edges of the omelet with a spatula and letting uncooked egg slide underneath
>when omelet is a minute from being cooked, add a touch of 35% cream and continue to pull up edges
>slide omelet out of pan onto plate, add your filling ingredients, and fold over
>alternatively, add filling ingredients while omelet is still in pan, fold over, then slide onto plate
Fuck, man. Omelets are Eggs101. If you can't make a decent omelet, no woman (no good one, anyway) will ever want you. Get some self respect.

So the difference between a "lazy omelet" and a "good omelet" is adding cream and constantly poking it? Thank fucking christ I stopped taking advice from 4chan seriously half a decade ago. Keep the fucking lid on so you can use the collected heated steam and air to soft cook the upper side. It will slide off regardless of you endlessly lifting the top and edging it.

Yes hotdogs cease being hot dogs if you cook them over a fire on a stick instead of a grill. Holy fuck you're retarded.

Man, why do I bother arguing with uneducated children on here?
Also, pulling up the edges of the omelet has nothing to do with "helping it slide out of the pan," and has everything to do with creating multiple layers of cooked egg, adding to a nice, fluffy omelet, and not a flat, dense piece of shit like you're obviously used to consuming.

Sheesh, learn a thing or two about dialectics. I've noticed other posts by you on this board and your consistent failure to interpret the nuances of language is a real pain.
