There are actually people out there who think that Sushi is healthy.

No it's fucking not. It's literally fastfood. You are not eating healthy if you are eating Sushi.

It's fish. Fish is healthy. Fast food is fried crap drenched in oil.

Yeah if you get sushi rolls with tempura and slathered in mayo.
Raw fish, seaweed and rice is fine though.

I was talking about the ready to eat sushi you can get at supermarkets because most people are getting those. Hell even the sushi in a all you can eat restaurant is full of chemical shit.

Only if you make it from scratch it may be ok.

Literally all of the E numbers you can imagine. If you know what those are. Basically stuff that makes them taste better and last longer. But that stuff is not healthy.

But sushi is expensive and from another culture and I get to do a little ritual with the soy sauce and the chopsticks so I feel more important than other people. That makes it good.

True, I saw this nasty chemical on an article recently. Turns out it's in every food we eat. Sure, it's not deadly when you eat a little bit of food, but it can build up over time in your body and eventually lead to cancer. I bet it's added to Montesano pesticides

It depends what you have on it. It can be healthy or at least not unhealthy. I have salmon rolls plain which is just salmon/seeweed/rice.

>> No.13712223

Sushi rice always has a bunch of added sugar, vinegar, and salt. It's not "just rice". Pickled vegetables have zero nutrients left after undergoing the pickling process, but they do have lots of nice new carcinogens. Soy sauce is just liquid salt. Modernized Asian food is actually awful for you.

Better not let hydrogen oxide build up in your body, it can be most detrimental.

Down in Florida we have a nice grocery store called Publix, I'm sure you're familiar with their subs? Every Wednesday they have 5 dollar sushi. I've gotten it once a week for the past 3 years.

>Sushi rice always has a bunch of added sugar, vinegar, and salt.
It's not that much at all. I even looked up the nutritional values of both white and sushi rice just to compare. I mean you are right in that sushi rice is less healthy than white rice, but not to any significant degree.
>Pickled vegetables have zero nutrients left after undergoing the pickling process
Uh, but that's not true.

>Soy sauce is just liquid salt.
Yeah and you're just supposed to use a small bit of it with each piece to flavor it.

This post kinda confuses me
