Cuban food is worth trying, though it gets old pretty quickly. Ropa vieja is good. They like bland food and no spiciness/heat to any of their dishes. It is a limited cuisine but worth a go.

Uruguayan mixed grill is good, probably the best food that continent has to offer. I find peruvian food to be vastly overrated. Chaotic and dissonant for the most part.

Sopa de pata. Add lemon and Chile to taste.

Empanadas de leche salvadoreñas. These are an absolute delicacy. I'm not a dessert guy, but this and some black coffee is absolute comfort.
