I anonymously reported to the apartment complex that he had firearms in his bedroom which are not allowed in a student apartment complex per the lease agreement. They told him that during a maintenance inspection the maintenance man saw the rifles and reported it. He had to drive hundreds of miles the next day to his parents house to get the guns out of the apartment, a major inconvenience

If these are your pans, then at another time, you tell your brother something to the effect of 'she is a learning cook, so I would just prefer she not cook here unsupervised, or that she not use my best pans or knives when I am not here" and let your brother sort this out by buying his own shit, or handling it himself. In the end, though, it's just money. Calm down and know your place. You don't need to micromanage or insult everyone. I suppose she has other talents, like a personality and companionship for your brother.

That's too long. Why did you allow it that long. The night before trash pickup day, you walk your roommate over to the kitchen, tell him to clear out the fridge of any containers right now because it's not hygienic sitting in the trash too long (and it's trash night yay!) or circulating air among your other food, your ice maker, etc. This is what home training was all about. Chore responsibility, clean kitchens, etc. Guide him to not spill any outside of the can, no drips that aren't cleaned up immediately. Fill up the sink with hot water, or open the racks on the dishwasher to put the rinsed items right away in there to run!
This should be a weekly/twice weekly chore, depending on your pickup schedule.

What really is the purpose of bringing guns to a dorm? If he was a hobbyist who shot weekly then maybe, but I have met more than one of these immature slobs who buy guns out of college like it’s a badass adult accessory to have laying around, and don’t register them with the school
