Why can’t they be as smart as us Europeans!! Excuse me while I go check on Muhammad and my wife, he is culturally enriching her.
I wonder what it’s like to be this obsessed with a country you don’t live in and that the residents of said country can’t even point out your country on a map. What a sad existence.

I’ll agree that jam does taste better homemade but there’s plenty of store bought jams that are pretty good and are very close to homemade. This is coming from a guy who didn’t eat store bought ham until he moved out of the house at 17.

In this anons defense i would argue that a 4 cup container of blueberry jam containing no sugar would have 0% sugar. Using this logic, adding a cup of sugar would raise the sugar level to 25%, 2 cups to 50%, 3 cups to 75% and 4 cups 100%. Therefore 2/4 being half.

>> No.13684266

Blueberries have natural pectin, it didn't need any extra. Mix it with water and check taste, at this stage you can only make more and hope it gets looser.

maybe just a splash of lemon juice?

are you sure it being bitter isnt a bad thing

i heard salt removes bitter from things like chocolate but i'm not sure it will work here

You likely cooked it down too much. Once sugar cools down, it solidifies and becomes hard as fuck. Also, you probably don't need pectin, since blueberries already have a lot of natural pectin. You can probably fix it by adding some water and reheating it.

No water? I made orange marmalade and water was definitely necessary. Also, never make orange marmalade. It's gross. I don't understand how something with so much sugar can be so bitter.
