The best local joint has a variant, that uses a white cream sauce instead of tomato sauce and is topped with parma ham and parmesan cheese. Apart from that, I usually get quattro stagione. As long as it does not have artichokes.

If I'm making it myself then just sauce, mozzarella and whatever's going spare at the moment. This one used some leftover pulled pork, it looks burnt but it tasted good so I don't give a shit.

Beets. I love beets. Two years ago, my friend Alex was telling me about how beets went crazy over Hurricane Irene. I had no idea what he was talking about but I agreed because how could I not? Beets are my favorite topping! Their taste (don't get me started on their taste) reminds me of everything I love about New York. They're really rich and they have a weird bitterness to them that I like. They also complement grilled cheese quite nicely.

It's kinda marinara I guess. That's a broad description. I used to get costco marinara, and it was shit for pizza. I get "Selection Brand Pizza Sauce" now. I really need to huckle down and make a good marinara for a pizza base.
