cant eat meat at home anymore but dont want to be vegan/vegetarian. what can i replace meat with? dont say tofu, that shit sucks asshole. are scallops good, nutritional-wise?

any recipes for scallops?

>> No.13654058

scallopps are very good
problem is they are one of the easier seafoods to fuck up, at least in my experience. a perfect scallop is amazing but if undercooked you're eating snot and overcooked and it's rubber.
i dont know about recipes but a bacon wrapped scallop is dynamite. serve with asparagus, squeeze of lemon. very nice

what kind of anti-meat sharia tier household do you reside in
you don't use tofu as a replacement for meat, only whitu piggu do that, they're nothing alike
if you want to eat meat, eat MEAT
don't try stupid meat 'replacement' nonsense
tofu is good, look up soup dishes or you can try fried tofu (fried tofu+lentils is a great imo)

when it comes to seafood I stick to salmon, pan-fry or bake it in the oven
never tried scallops personally, it's the type of seafood that disgusts me desu

Eat meat at home. Whoever the vegan/veggie you're living with is, they don't get to decide what you eat.

Meat replacements are for the birds. If you don't want to eat meat, then you probably won't be all that happy with meat replacements.

If you want a sandwich, cook some pinto beans, mush them up just enough so that they won't roll around, add a little salt and pepper, and spread them thickly on a whole wheat hamburger bun. Pour on mustard to taste and whatever vegetables you might like -- alfalfa sprouts can be very good on this. Put the top of the bun on and enjoy a sandwich. The beans are hardly a meat substitute, but make a good sandwich.

how do i cook scallops? pan cook it and salt it?

>> No.13654835

Firstly there are two types of scallops. Bay scallops, which are small but the taste seems sweeter, and sea scallops whichh are larger and more tender. You can bake bay scallops with bread stuffing and butter. Very rich and hearty but eat in controlled amounts or you'll be burpping it for days. Sea scallops are what you usually see fried on seafood platters and such.

They have a light fish flavor, but they're prized because of the texture and their ability to really soak up flavors during cooking. Scallops are absolutely based.

Uh do you live in a home where you literally have no control over your life due to mental issues?

There is absolutely no other reason on this planet that you can't eat what the fuck ever you want at any time you want.

Ate at a thai restaurant, got the seafood thai pasta (seafood coconut curry with rice noodles), ate a scallop. Nope, bland. Ate a shrimp. Same ol', same ol'. Ate some salmon. Yes, mah nigga.

scallops are meat

frozen fake chicken and burgers are pretty good. generally the more processed the meat is the closer the fake stuff gets to taste, so burgers, nugs, hot dogs

the better thing to do is just accept that vegetables aren't meat and make the vegetables you already like as delicious as possible
also a little liquid smoke adds a balcony flavor

Tuna, salmon, deanz for seafood if fish isn't restricted. You can try tempeh if you want a slightly less shit version of tofu. With the right spices/sauces, you can make it taste and feel a bit like some alien meat. Broccoli has a good protein value. Cottage cheese and Greek yoghurt if dairy is fine with you. Both have great macros and lots of protein. PB if you need calories and some proteins/fats.

Seitan is based. Used to work at a veg/vegan restaurant that made their own and it made the best seitan reubans. Taste usually uses a light soy broth and texture is surprisingly like meat.

just looked it up, what an unfortunate name. apparently it comes from japanese but i can't help but think of "satan" when i see seitan. makes it sound vaguely ominous.
