I'm honestly surprised Waffle House still exists. Every time I see one it looks completely run down and I expect cockroaches to be the primary building inhabitants, with rats 2nd and the staff 3rd. As a non-flyover I would never even consider entering one of these and even in my non-flyover area there are plenty of 24 hour diners that have low prices, large homestyle meals and friendly service that blow this shithole chain out of the water. They are also much cleaner and don't look abandoned despite being still operational like WH does. I guess chain pancake diners like WH and Denny's are still popular in shithole flyovers like Ohio.

Waffle House is a cultural symbol. A lot of people get drunk and go there at 3am. College kids keep it alive and degenerates.
