It's a cheap gimmick that does a dozen things, but not one of them well. You want a rice cooker? You should be spending double the price on a fuzzy logic. You want a pressure cooker? You can get one much better at half the price. You want a slow cooker? (And lets face it, that's what most people are using the instapot for anyway.) You'd do better buying something at a quarter of the price without all the bells and whistles with a higher build quality.
