I like Japanese food but really fucking hate traditional ramen. I've been to so many places that are critically acclaimed and tried their stuff but nothing comes close to a pack of instant ramen to me. I'm not a "chicken nugget only" type of person either, I'll eat pretty much everything, and generally go out of my way to try something new, but ramen has never lived up to the hype.

yea most of them have too much sugar. probably because sugar is cheap and people need that much to think it's sweet because their tastebuds are fucked up from too much soda.

i found out that you can remove 25% of the sugar from most recipes to bring the sweetness down to a normal level without really affecting the texture though.

i unironically don't like steak, i find it lacks flavor compared to most other meats (perhaps aside from boneless skinless chicken breast)
now in the case of chicken breast, usually it used with other things and heavily sauced, flavored etc

a steak is inteded to be eaten on its own, with no sauce and perhaps just some salt and pepper, as well as medium rare
raw meat is damn near flavorless, and less nutritious, i simply do not understand why people like steak serviced in this fashion

if steak is cooked in a sauce, or cut up and put into something else i like it just fine, but eating a half raw piece of meat on its own makes absolutely no sense to me
