What is the perfect food for a night of drinking?

Requirements:
>Ease
Don’t handle knives drunk. Ovens and pots only, please.
>Quickness
Nobody has time to wait for an entire turkey to cook.
>Cheap
Otherwise it’s easier to just swing by KFC

Part of why I gotta control my drinking or at least temper it with cigarettes and cocaine is that I feel like I absolutely must go on an obscene eating binge as well otherwise. I don't understand people who just drink and don't eat. Of course I only drink on an empty stomach because I'm not completely retarded but once I reach my destination it's game over for anything in the fridge.

Actual femanon here, it's best to make a nice quick soup. Sear some beef/pork hocks, shanks, or tail (ox-tail does lovely), throw in some mirepoix (potatoes or turnips if you're feeling *really* hungry), cover with water once meat and veg nicely browned, and skim the fat every time you refill your glass. Pull out the hocks after the water is nice and stocky, chuck in some garlic, a little wine (red, for best results), maybe some kombu if you've got it. Shred the meat off the bones and chuck it in with some thyme and rosemary. Let it simmer and reduce while you get drunk. It'll be warm and nice no matter when you feel hungry, and it's a great way to replenish fluids and electrolytes at the end of the night. Season with salt and pepper to taste. I mean, it's just a soup base, you can do whatever you want with it. You can throw in butter, more wine, and some cream to make a delicious thick soup, or pour it over some frozen gnocchi/tortellini.

It's simple asf and you can keep it on all night.

I never eat when I'm in the mood for a bender. It just slows my roll. If you're going for pure decadence, I'd have to think fried finger foods. Chicken wings, nachos, and loaded potato skins all come to mind. If you're partying with friends, cold cut sandwich bar might be the way to go, or overstuffed hoagies like meatball subs and cheesesteaks.

Femanon is irrelevant, shut the fuck up. That being said, ham hocks are one of the most underrated ingredients to keep in the kitchen, that's a good point. If you make soup or beans at all regularly, you need a ham hock in your freezer at all times.

I don't see soup as a drinking food though. You'll just spill it all over your counter, table, chin, and shirt. and it won't satisfy. For stout drinking, you want protein, fat, and carbs in an easy to handle format: sandwiches, wings, nachos, and burritos.

Meat and bone marrow from hocks/shanks. You can also start off with a few strips of bacon.

>fat
butter, and like I said, bacon

>carbs
turnips and potatoes

You points make no sense anyway.

>sandwiches
too many moving parts to stack, gets soggy if you don't make it on the spot, do you want to be doing that while wasted? Falls apart easy.

>wings
Sauce everywhere, acid reflux city, also you can sweat out more electrolytes which isn't doing you any favors in the morning.

>nachos and burritos
hugely messy, need to melt cheese, wrap things together in a burrito

Are you sure that's how it works anon? I don't drink much at all but I can't stand drinking on an empty stomach. I don't need to have a whole meal before or while drinking, but I like to have eaten something substantial. Sounds like you're just screwing yourself over, which ties in pretty well with your cocaine and cigarette addictions.

You don't understand what it's like to be an alcohol. Often, the drunk doesn't have money for both booze and food, and so chooses booze. When I was an alcohol, I did have money for both, but only consumed whiskey mixed with water. You just lose your appetite as time goes on. But I get what you mean in normal cases. Now when I drink, I just destroy salty and fatty foods. Sweets lose their appeal after drinking so much sugar.

Make a stew. Made this last night with chicken stock, tomato paste, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, roasted garlic, ground jalapeno pepper, black pepper, thyme, bay leaf, celery seed, sausage, potatoes, carrots, pearl onions, all into the pressure cooker for ~30-40 minutes, add peas, mix together, and some cheese on top.

You don't need the same stuff, it's always (seasoned stock) + (veggies) + (meat), for whatever you have.
