I'm like 150 pounds, 5'6-5'7", and a little bit chubby for a short white kid. Was thinking about following a little subway diet thing, since I've got more than enough money to do it, and yeah. I was wondering if any of you nutritionfags think that eating a subway melt with no ranch or anything but still dat cheese, dat bacon, and dat salt + pepper would be aight? That and a bowl of cereal a day.

if you're 150 pounds and 5'7, assuming you're a fat muscleless chunker, you probably have a caloric expenditure of 1800-2000.
If you want to eat these two things every day, you will lose a pound every ~10 days.
which isnt great but if you want to eat these things and lose weight, you can.

alternatively, oatmeal fills you up more than cereal, similar or less calories.

Brainlet-tier posts. Yes, eating at a calorie deficit will make you lose weight, regardless of what you eat. But meal composition = body composition. If you just eat a bowl of cereal and a foot of bread with a few slices of processed deli meat, you will lose weight, but you will turn into an unhealthy shapeless skinnyfat turd. If you exercise and eat lots of meat and vegetables and moderate/low carbs, you will build muscle and burn fat, you will improve your health and your appearance

Used to be 230 and the same height as you. I lost a good amount of weight by using an exercise bike while watching anime. Didn't change my diet outside of cutting soda. If you can burn 500-1000 calories a day, you'll be golden. Gave me an excuse to go through my backlog too.
