Japanese homes don't have ovens so you couldn't make a frozen pizza or even a pizza from scratch there if you wanted.
at best the average person in japan has a cheapo $20 toaster oven, which those pre-made pizzas are designed for. they're small enough that they fit perfectly in a toaster oven but the crust is thin enough that the thing cooks all the way through.

I remember buying the white strawberry for 200 bucks. Pack of 3 was 200. It was some out of the world taste strawberry with no hint of sourness you get in american grocery. Definitely not worth the absurd money but it was really good.
