I did a few shifts on the washer and it’s tough work. The good thing about it is once you get into rhythm it’s not mentally taxing, you can kind of daydream, think, or kind of play music in your head and it can be zen. Shit comes in dirty and leaves clean, not complicated, no real mental strain. Is paying an employee to stand there washing dishes on a sink still a thing?
Dishwashing machines are super efficient. Their wash cycles are engineered for efficiency and they use less water and power than manual washing.
In that case, why would businesses spend so much more by having their dishes manually washed? More water costs, more power consumption, and an employee's wage.
