Is there anything more of a LEGITIMATE meme than italian cooking?

>what are you talking about anon, why is it a meme
I mean that italian food, made by italians, is such a specific thing without any regard to taste, texture, or ease of creation. It's just a bunch of tradition that Italians do because their granmama did it before them. Stuff like not putting garlic in carbonara, not putting lean proteins on pasta, needing quality wine to cook with instead of some bargain wine which would give about as much flavor, considering splochy pizza the only type of pizza.

The French have none of these dumbass rules.

The simple thing you always fail to understand, as low IQ animals, is that we don’t get upset because you made carbonara with bacon instead of guanciale (we also do this too you’re not special) but the difference is that I don’t sell this “variation” as carbonara to other people who then go around telling other people how “that dish of carbonara sucked ass” because they didn’t eat the real recipe, and in this case it makes sense.

Put bacon in your pasta with eggs, put peas too if you want but DO NOT call it a carbonara. Create your own name or, even better, a proper cuisine.

Italian food might or might not be a meme, but American interpretations on Italian dishes are often crap.
If you have normal taste buds you should understand why aj Italian pizza is better than the American interpretations. It is supposed to be a well balanced dish, the base, the tomato sauce, a reasonable amount of cheese and sometimes some other toppings.
Compare this to the American versions that drown in cheese and fat, sausage and barbecue sauce.

Italians are like this because their country is losing its influence on the world and food is literally all they have left. Yet their recipes are largely based around poverty, since Italy is a very poor country and lots of Italians live in poverty. Because of these reasons they get upset and offended when another nation improves upon their dishes using ingredients that the typical Italian cannot afford. They see it as an attack on their very existence, on their worth and on their contribution to the world.

>> No.13187220

>>13172064
Food and recipes are always evolving and new techniques and ingredients are always being changed to better the dish. This is what you don’t understand and why you come across as unintelligent. There is nothing universally authentic about any dish, not in any real sense anyway. Its only authenticity is some vague idea that’s specific to you, the individual, and to your own tastes and ideas. Sure, you might share similar views with others, but it still doesn’t make it true. I mean how do you think carbonara was even invented? Do you think the creator was given the recipe by god himself? Or do you think they experimented with ingredients until they found a recipe that suited their personal taste? Then they no doubt shared it and over time the recipe changed until it came to what you enjoyed and took to be viewed as ‘authentic’. Yet your carbonara may be vastly different to that original carbonara, or to someone’s carbonara from 100-200 years ago. I mean even in todays Italy, lots of Italian chefs make their carbonara in many different ways and using many different techniques. There is no divine origin to food and their recipes, so the idea that one recipe is the true and only recipe is nonsense.
