Its more expensive than most cuts of pork.
With the exception of heavily processed specialty stuff, like Jamón ibérico, and other cured/aged products. Your normal ham, chops, roasts, shoulder, etc is all less expensive than tenderloin.
But at about $5 a pound, its a beautiful, affordable cut that easily exceeds a mediocre beef steak for the price.
