culinary vegetable
and because the only reason people say shit like "tomato is a vegetable hur" is because when they were a kid they were told by their parents that they were smart for saying such shit like "DiD YoU KnOw A tOmAtOe is AcTuAlLy a FrUiT?!" and so they hold on to that idea of intelligence even though as adults they are just another cog in the wheel with piers who are just like them with no difference between them.
we know, we all know that tomatoes are fruits
we know strawberries arent actually fruits too
you arent impressing anyone by thinking you're smarter than you are and trying to wave your dick around just shows everyone how small it is
for all intents and purposed in the kitchen and in daily life a tomato is a vegetable. its most often put in salads and other savory dishes like other vegetables and calling them a fruit is just like holding out your pinky when you drink cheap ass box wine

apples, pears, and tomatoes are all used in cooking and baking.
apples, pears, and tomatoes are all also enjoyed in their raw states.

pineapple is used on pizza and in burgers as compliment to savoury meat
so is it a fruit or a vegetable by your logic?
you are just screaming that everyone should play by your headcanon rules when in fact the common definition of "fruit" and "vegetable" is very fuzzy and not set in black and white. Sometimes tomato is used as a "vegetable". But many times its enjoyed as a "fruit", too.

genuinely sorry for you.

My grand father had a mango tree that he grew from his finest seed from his finest tree. He grafted it with a pineapple and the result is the closest thing we have to a god tree. The thing is huge and the fruits HUEG. It shits out fruits so much that my cousins who inherited it just give them to their cattle because they gave up on picking them up. Taste and texture is godly. Perfect balance of sweetness with a slight honey flavor. You bite into it and juices flow everywhere . God. Last time I even smuggled a pair in the plane. Worth it.

Ratings come from 3 factors:

1. Raw flavor
2. Ability to actually eat it without it rotting 3 minutes off the vine
3. Ease of consumption (e.g. not needing to invest an hour on a pomegranate)

Also the list gets a C for not having the greatest fruit known to mankind, the quince

Literally no one in the culinary world other than incel faggots on here say “culinary vegetable” thats the most retarded metric of classification of ive ever heard

“We dont have any culinary vegetables to compliment the dish!!!”
Like wtf? Who says this? Nobody that’s who. You combine flavor profiles and textures. You will put thinly sliced pineapple on pork because it is two sweeter tasting things with saltiness and savoury to balance out. No chef would say “You can’t do that its a culinary fruit!!!” Thats just you being a pretentious fag that doesn’t know shit about botany or the culinary

Why do you think I dont understand flavor profiles just because im not a retard who calls a tomato a fucking fruit just because I want to sound pretentious?
Do you call bean pods fruit every day? Wheat? Eggplant? what about chili pepper? When I say culinary vegetable I mean the layman's term for what is a vegetable, which include tomatoes, eggplants, corn and other "fruits" because they taste different from sweet fruits
Tomatoes dont add a sweet flavor to things naturally, they add a savory one normally, same with the rest of my listed examples. So unless you expect to make your ham sweeter with fucking eggplant dont call me a retard for being normal and using correct terms regular people do when referring to fruits and vegetables
