That show is way more interesting than the stupid cupcake wars and shit we get in the states. America has good bakers but the people that go onto the baking competition shows are just average people competing on a reality show. Iron chef America was pretty good, and master chef jr are honestly the only two American cooking competitions worth watching.

Major food programming entities including TV channels and youtube channels haven't bothered to blow hot air up some baker's ass. I have no doubt they could create some asshole like "Paul Hollywood", I mean even his name is painfully fake and stupid. There just isn't a demand for a baker personality, baking isn't big enough for that outside just re-purposing existing stars.
