Why watch amateurs when you can watch someone legit (Cooking in Russia) and learn to make infinitely better food and improve your skills in the process. He also works literally 15 hours a day and still has time to answer any questions you have in YouTube comments despite being in his 60s or some shit.

While I do like to watch his cooking videos to see good recreations of creative and original movie and game foods I personally dislike him as a cook. Why? His cooking style isn't very accessible he has so many fucking kitchen gadgets and ingredients that he special orders for like one recipe and to me it seems so lazy and disingenuous. I understand that he's trying to recreate everything as best he can but you step on over to Marco Pierre White's videos and the guy literally has recipes that he makes sure you can make with stuff you find at your common grocery store I've taken away more applicable knowledge from 4 Marco videos than Babish's entire video catalog. I'm broke and have a small kitchen with little to no untensils. Meanwhile Babish is bragging about his 8+ stove or whatever the fuck and all his space for food and shit. i watched one of his videos, the one where he does the cake from matilda. as far as i know that cake is only unique in its size, assumed richness, and the sweat and blood comment.
