i hate how meat comes out of a slow cooker, always that shredded texture that unless you and making shredded meat food it is horrible. what are food meat meals you can make besides shredded stuff? am i cooking it wrong?

Agreed with this OP, if you want to appreciate traditional steak cuts, you absolutely need to learn how to grill. Slow cookers are fine for chicken and vegetables and such. Or really tough cuts, like beef shank or something.

You shouldn’t put them into the slow cooker until the last hour. A bouquet garni is just a French term for tying together a bundle of herbs with a string or in a cheese cloth to add to a pot for flavor so you can pull it out later. You can just throw whole sprigs of rosemary in and pull them out before you serve.

If you can't deal with the meat texture, use your slow cooker for something else. I love me some fruit soup. Just throw like 4 different types of fruit along with some fruit juice and cook for like 5 hours. If you plan to eat it cold instead of hot, throw some gelatin in.
