It sticks!

What brand of egg is that? I certainly will not buy it. That is unacceptable.

PTFE is always the best for eggs, but you also clearly cooked the egg poorly. Preheat the cast iron on low because it heats very unevenly, and spread some oil in the pan and don't move the egg until the bottom is cooked. Then it'll separate cleanly. No part of it should become as blackened as the residue on your pan.

You fucking idiot you cooked the egg upside down, of course its sticking.

You dunno what your doing. Iron needs seasoned, and heat it slowly. I use irons for everything.. Including eggs.

if you cook anything at mild heat, anything sticks

try making your pan hot first (alongside oil), and then youll see that it works

>> No.12795315

>>12795308
But if you make it too hot, things stick again. You need to get used to your stove.

>>12795348
Basted with oil from the pan. Kinda half-assed it and didn't really get the egg to the correct crispyness, but I was really just doing it to demonstrate that if you add a little oil and don't move the egg until the bottom is cooked, it won't stick.

cast iron is great

you just got to spend ten minutes cleaning it, ten minutes prepping it and make sure your oven is warm constantly and also you can't cook anything acidic or watery in it, and also spend an hour every week seasoning it
