Most of my mugs were either souvenirs, or gifts, or found at thrift stores. Some of the souvenir mugs were pricey though, like the PIL tour mug and the Noel Fielding tour mug.

We did ten challenges, one per week, and you had to provide verticals or people wouldn't vote for you (/ck/ had actual standards back then, lol). It was moderated by HeartsonFire (I'm sure some of the oldfags still here remember her).

Oh, yeah, there were several I was pretty proud of, mainly because I'd never made them before, and I was super focused on making them perfect. I had friends who came over to eat the stuff I cooked, so I was really obsessive about it. I also did some crazy stuff to be funny, and that was always fun, too.

Ok, so this was the third week challenge, ramen. This was when I really hit my groove. I'd never made tonkotsu broth or chashu or black garlic oil, or tare, or any of the components of tonkotsu ramen before, so I was very pleased with how it turned out. Looking back, the only thing that still bugs me is that I overcooked the egg. But I make ramen from scratch all the time now, so it was a great learning experience.

So, this was the fifth week, Ravioli.
I had never made homemade ravioli before, so again, for me, personally, this was an accomplishment. I did three types: Soft quail egg yolk and ricotta ravioli with crispy pancetta, chive oil, and parmesan; Roasted eggplant ravioli with red pepper butter sauce and basil; and Duck liver pate ravioli with a blackberry-jalapeno sauce and pistachios. They all came out pretty much perfect, and the flavors were amazing.

This was week 6, Tapas. This one was fun as fuck, and I'd never made any of this stuff before either, so I had a blast. From the left, it's Calamari-Chorizo balls with Romesco sauce, Manchego cheese tartlets with Quince Butter, a Gazpacho shooter with Olive Puffs, and Butter Poached Lobster on Fava Bean Toast with Confit Lemon and Tomato Pearls.

This was my fucking FAVORITE. This was the Time Travel challenge, and I rolled the Silk Road. So, I literally made food from all the major points on the Silk Road. Turkish flatbread stuffed with lamb, spinach, and feta, Zereshk Polow, Tahdig, Sesame Noodles, and Apricot Goji Berry sorbet. I still make all these dishes regularly, except the sorbet (not because it wasn't good, but because it's a pain to make).

Those are my favorites, but all the challenges were fun for me, and I was happy with my results.
This pic is one of the crazy things I made. It was the Cupcake Challenge. I made three kinds, Frozen Spumoni cupcakes, Pecan Praline Cupcakes, and.....(this was the first year they came out) Doritos Tacos Locos Cupcake with Baja Blast Frosting. That was fucking fun, and a challenge to figure out how to make it.

Well, if it makes you feel any better, that laptop isn't mine, it's an old beater my friend brought over the other day, because we're working on a project together. My laptop is on my desk, where it belongs, not in a chair. I don't own any Supreme stuff (too expensive for not good quality, and now they climbed straight up their own ass as well), although I do have a few skate-centric things (I have always and will always live in Vans and Converse, they're just my thing, but that's about the extent of it)

I think you can definitely gleam down about half of those, or throw them up on ebay for unique personalized gifts. What I do with "gift" mugs I don't want is use them like disposable cups for road trips or to hand to guests when they leave, and then just chuck them.
