But you can get just as good a half smoke from some corner cart vendors as you can there. I'm not talking food truck, I mean hot dog carts. Albeit, the cheese and chili on fries is nice at Ben's.
Pretentious is the fucker who thinks eating there makes them a DC native. Like who the fuck would want to be a native of this dump?

Okay, there's too much to recommend, so I'll do my best to highlight my personal favorite spots in varying neighborhoods. You best save this post, anon:

Georgetown:
1) Miss Saigon - Really solid Vietnamese spot at the edge of Georgetown. The service is good. There's even a neat fish tank. A lot cute girls dine there.
2) Bangkok Joe's - This is one of your trendier Thai restaurants in the city. But don't let that deter you. The food is really great, and they make a mean pad thai dish. It's near the waterside, which makes for a nice walk after dining. A lot of young adults dine there.

Foggy Bottom:
1) Meiwah - At the intersection of M and New Hampshire, you will find arguably the best Chinese food in NW DC. The interior is large and embellished. A lot of higher class people dine there, due to its close proximity to K Street.

Dupont:
1) Zorbas - North of the circle, you will find this staple in DC dining. A Greek restaurant that has been around for decades. It's two floors tall and spacious. The crowd here varies, but are you sure to find many a local there.
2) Shake Shack - I was reluctant to include this. This is a regional fast food chain located in the busiest quarters of the neighborhood. This place is always slammed, and they sometimes get your order wrong. But the burgers are pretty solid.
3) Lauriol Plaza - Great Mexican place in the northern part of Dupont. It's actually a massive restaurant. But the food and service are exceptional. It's a trendy spot where a lot of young adults go to eat and drink.

>> No.12689707

>>12689704
Adam's Morgan:
1) Keren - An Eritrean restaurant in lower part of Adam's Morgan. This has to be the most underrated restaurant in NW. There's always a line out the door. The food is reasonably priced yet so filling. This is a must go to spot.
2) Lapis - An Afghan restaurant in the center of the neighborhood. This, too, is a trendy spot. It's actually one of my favorite restaurants in the city. The best dinner I have eaten while in DC was here, make of that what you will.
3) El Tamarindo - DC has a large El Salvadoran diaspora, and you owe it to yourself to try some of their cuisine. This is a restaurant best known for their papusas.

Mt. Pleasant:
1) Mount Desert Island Ice Cream - Local ice cream joint in the heart of Mt. Pleasant. It will still be hot in September, so stop by here if you're crazing a cold treat. It's my go-to spot.

Colombia Heights:
1) Los Hermanos - This is a great hole-in-the-wall Dominican Restaurant. I go here at least a few times a month. It's one of the best bang-for-your-buck spots around. You have to go here for lunch or dinner.

U Street Corridor:
1) Chicken and Whiskey - It's the best Peruvian chicken place you'll find in DC, in my humble opinion. Definitely go here if you're passing by. They're open late, so you can even go there after a night of drinking.

Shaw:
1) Blagden Alley - This is a small strip in the neighborhood where a lot of upper scale restaurants can be found. Definitely check this out if you're in Shaw.
