For example shared greens, and added bacon grease to cook them so she could get her fiber. Not ass healthy, but better than no fiber

well op's pic is pretty healthy actually, but it looks like it's going to be unpleasant because the chicken and nuts are both dry. and so is the broccoli. you could make it taste better just by grinding the nuts to make a sauce for the chicken. and making a simple dressing of herbs and vinegar for the broccoli.

though my point was just that fat and carbs aren't really unhealthy like a lot of people think as long as you aren't overeating in general and also limiting the refined carbs. but i guess knowing how to prepare it matters just as much too because a few alterations would make op's food taste a lot better without changing nutrition much.

i think it tastes almost sweet if you steam or roast it until it's soft. same thing with cabbage, brussels sprouts, etc. and adding a little vinegar gives it a nice sweet/sour flavor combo. i know most people say vegetables shouldn't be cooked until totally soft but "tender-crisp" vegetables just taste bad to me because they don't taste as refreshing as raw vegetables and they don't have the sweetness of fully cooked soft vegetables.

Yeah if you refine your palette. I used to eat junk food all the time and still do to an extent but now I can't stomach deep fried things and rarely go out of my way to overindulge. Gourmet food though is typically unhealthy, lots of salt, fat, butter, oil, etc. for flavor.

If you're eating for health vs. weight loss, expect different recipes and limitations. Soup is easy to make taste good and add a lot of veges. Also search for gourmet vegetarian/vegan to get an idea of good tasting low cal meals if you're going for weight loss, but expect to do more work or add more shit to make it taste decent.

Yes actually, just continually eat healthy. When I was about 21 I started to eat only healthy foods, or food that was full of nutrition and good for me. I avoid fried stuff and desserts like the plague, anything processed is completely off limits for me. I first noticed the difference when I was 26, I was at a bar and decided to splurge a little. I ordered some fried food. I couldnt even make it past the first one. It tasted DISGUSTING. All that salt and fat just flooding my tastebuds, overriding the taste of anything to hit them for the next 6 hours...Nasty. I literally cant eat anything unhealthy now. Its all just gross to me and makes me feel sluggish and awful. So yeah. Discipline is all you need.
