It's based on American fast food. Also, Canadian pizza places are normally better than that. There's some good pizza places in the US too, but I've seen plenty that do that thing with the huge voids on empty space on the slices like in the pic... never have seen the shit smear over the top, that's original. Dominos in the US (and probably Canada) do the empty space thing often enough, but depends on who makes it how lucky or unlucky you will get. These shenanigans would not be tolerated in Asia or most parts of Europe (except maybe Scandinavia and Netherlands, I have heard some pizza horror stories out of those places).

Because it's an Arab chain they can't use pork. If you ever travel to Indonesia or Malaysia, you'll see beef substituting for pork everywhere. I don't like how Garfield and Friends turned Nermal into a Designated Villain; Garfield always has to triumph over Nermal, even if Nermal isn't doing anything wrong ("A Tall Tale," "Best of Breed," "Well Fed Feline"). Granted, there are moments where Garfield does do something nice to Nermal ("Cutie and the Beast," "Hansel and Garfield," "Invasion of the Mutant Guppies"), but these don't justify his exceedingly rude behavior.

Nermal constantly being punished carried over from the comic strip, where Nermal was rude and sarcastic to Garfield when Jon wasn't around. Still, Garfield's rude behavior towards Nermal does feel a little undeserved at times. Nermal's character is different in Garfield and Friends, being "the world's cutest kitty-cat," more child-like, and not sarcastic, making his torment not deserved.

But yeah, I got all the early books through a book club through elementary school as they came out each year and Nermal was a complete dick. I still have toys from when I was a kid like G.I. Joe and Star Wars and Transformers but I wasn't collecting them for investment other than I just wanted to play with them as a kid and not blow them up with firecrackers like all my other friends did. They're still in good shape and I sold most of my original Star Wars collection to help fund a downpayment on a house and moving costs. Shit was cash and I didn't feel bad since I knew it was going to somebody who cared about them.

And yeah, original signed artwork is pretty much always an investment. Even if were by Bill Cosby or OJ Simpson. Hell, it might even be worth more with scandal attached!

About a little over $4,000. It was stuff like action figures (in the layered carrying case), Millenium Falcon, Death Star set (the one with the trash compactor (still had the foam "trash", too) and gun turret, elevator and the bridge Luke & Leia swing across. X-wing fighter. Taun taun. That kind of stuff. Honestly, I wasn't ever going to use them or display them or anything like that. I made movies with them as a kid but that was the last of it. They'd probably go for more now but oh well. I needed the money.

Collecting gets weird. I have a record collection of vinyl, cassettes and CDs but those were because I wanted to actually listen to them. Now that everything's gone digital I'm scrambling to archive that stuff for personal use.
