Hello /ck/,

I am looking for your advice on what steak knives to get. I know absolutely nothing on the topic and this seems like the place to ask. Looking for steak knives that'll last fairly long time without having to worry about sharpening.

Things like that if you can help out.

how the fuck do you sharpen most knives from a flatware set?

They're not meant to be sharpened.

literally sharpen a steel ruler, cut it in half and you have two, wrap a rag or something around the bottom half.

or just use fucking scissors as if you weren't stupid, since there's no job related to eating a plate of food that knives do better than scissors.

I live in Argentina. Literally 99% of knives people own are serrated. Probably 80% of those are cheap Tramontinas (a brazilian brand). They are great for anything and last for fucking years. Don't overpay.
