I agree 100%. Used to work at Publix while I lived in Florida since I was 15. Worked there abou 7 years til I graduated college at 22. Near the end of 2011 (when I graduated) they started to really change their stores. Each store used to have this certain 'feel' that was unique to each store, and some deli's had specials that were localized. Now, whenever I visit Florida and go to a Publix, wherever it is, I can't help but notice they all look and feel the same. I don't like that. One of the charms of Publix in the day was it was your 'Neighborhood Market'. It took on your area's personality and most of the managers at the store grew up in those neighborhoods. It isn't like that anymore

I know they are a privately owned company, but they are still a corporation, and I couldn't help but notice how corporate they have become over the years. I hate it. Not the same as it used to be, that's for sure.

Yes, everything about it. I literally just bought 10 cups of shredded mozz because BOGO. Their 2% and whole milk is also pretty tasty.

There are still a few out there that still feel like they did when I was a kid, and it's like stepping into a time machine. Sadly my local store was one of the first to get the redesign, and it just feels so much less comfortable that I've avoided it as much as possible. They feel way too large and just look how harsh this lighting is.

I used to work at one across town. My main local one I go to has 100% the same layout and it's super trippy when I shop there.

It's like teleporting and shit.
