Sriracha is HANDS DOWN the best hot sauce. There is no argument. The combination of vinegar, chili, garlic, and sugar hits all the different taste receptors on the tongue which is why it improves literally any dish you put it on. No other sauce has the same versatility.

The packaging can't be beat either. The large bottle provides the best sauce to price ratio and has yet to be matched. Saucelets will pay more for an inferior sauce that is a fraction of the size. The green nozzle on top ensures the most accurate application of sauce to your meal, unlike most bottles which just pathetically gloop out, and usually more than you want, wasting the expensive product. The empty sriracha bottle can be reused for olive oil or your own sauces, encouraging creativity, unlike traditional hot sauce bottles which just clog up landfills.

Sriracha is quite literally the best.

Flying Goose sriracha is fucking amazing though... I bought a bottle 2 weeks ago and almost the entire thing has gone already.
Problem is, it gives you the shits.
Hot food never gives me the shits, but Flying Goose sriracha makes me shit like a fucking zoo animal.

White guy here. Let me tell you about sriracha since I've had some experience with it recently. It's a ridiculously spicy Chinese hot sauce made from a highly guarded ancient secret recipe, very hard to find in the US. In fact, I had to specially request it from the wise old Chinese woman behind the counter at this obscure little hole-in-the-wall Asian food store. Normally she probably wouldn't sell it to your average white dude, but luckily she's taken a bit of a liking to me since I'm well versed with Asian food and culture after having studied anime for many years. But be warned, it is VERY hot, over 9000 on the scoville scale if I had to guess. I tried of a spoonful of it plain once. Worst mistake of my friggin' life. I immediately started dry heaving and basically spent the next 5 hours crying like a baby while my ex wife and her son brought me glasses of ice water and wet towels to cool me down. We actually considered going to the emergency room since my tongue was burning so mental. Well, let's just say sriracha made me its bitch that day.

It is not the best by the standard of the most refined tongues. It is not the spiciest. It is far too thick for a lot of dishes. Overall though I would agree that for MOST people and MOST foods it is a very damn good pick.

It is spicy ketchup in the fact it does the job of making stuff taste better and appeals to the vast majority. Other sauces do other things better or straight up contrast sriracha like mustard does ketchup. Yet despite all that.

Ketchup is still the most popular condiment by leaps and bounds. What determines what is the "best" hot sauce? What the majority prefers or what the specialized experts claim is "best" yet are an incredibly vocal minority.
