No caffeine just the opposite actually. Citrus tree leaves are supposed to have a sedative effect and are good to help sleeping which is why I made it. I definitely feel very relaxed now but time will tell. It also actually tastes pretty good to my surprise.

>get a single bag of ceylon tea out of my fridge
>I inspect my teapot to make sure I didn't leave my teabag from last time in there
>use my finger to feel around the inside, don't notice any teabag
>Now, what I thought I did next was put the teabag in the teapot
>However, after I poured the hot water from my kettle into the teapot, I looked down at my mug and teapot beside eachother
>in the mug was a fresh and dry bag of ceylon tea
>in the teapot was a bag of ceylon tea floating at the top

Did the kitchen ghost get me again? I distinctly recall looking in my teapot and feeling the inside to make sure it was empty. Where did the second teabag come from, and why would the dry teabag be in my mug? Also, I found a package of earl grey tea on my bedroom floor this morning when I was moving my bed to a warmer room, don't know where that came from.

Honestly I need to move back to teabags. I fucking always forget to clean out my teapot and the little metal filter that goes inside. I want to make tea every single day but I'm just such a lazy shit that's unwilling to clean out all the little loose leaf tea particles that stick to the metal. So I just leave it. And it builds up bacteria. One day I'm going to die drinking out of that teapot because I'll have forgotten to take out the leaves that have been sitting in there for a week now.

I do this but I fixed it by having multiple ways of brewing stuff. That way I can brew 3 or 4 different things before I need to clean something. Then when I do it kind of feels like I'm getting something done because I'm cleaning more than one thing at a time.

>unwilling to clean out all the little loose leaf tea particles that stick to the metal.
I don't really get this part though. Just knock it into the trash (if it's mesh just turn it upside down and give it a flick), rinse it in the sink, pour boiling water over it, and set it out to dry. You've just cleaned and sanitized your strainer.

wtf? I thought the WHO banned that substance around the globe because of how bad it was?

>> No.11967489

>>11967481

Many of these pesticides are banned in the EU and North America. But the issue is that tea grown in China has almost no regulations and there is no control process form the Communist Party of China to protect public safety (without testing and certification).

DDT - DDT is a cancer causing pesticide that is banned in the U.S. but is still used in India and China for controlling pests in tea crops. Many large tea farms spray their tea crops with DDT and those chemicals can leach into the very cup of tea you are drinking.

Endosulfan - Endosulfan is a pesticide that has been banned by the U.S., China, the EU, and 144 other countries because it has been linked to impaired fertility and could harm unborn babies. If that isn’t bad enough, this pesticide builds up over time, making it really bad for farmers and the environment.

Methomyl - Methomyl is a highly toxic pesticide that is not only harmful to humans but to the environment as there is a good chance it will seep into the farms water supply. In fact, there was a peer reviews study that determined that Japanese tea farmers were being poisoned by this pesticide just by working on the land.
