I have found one (1) fast food place in my entire area that actually gives me FRESH food when I walk up to the counter and specifically ask for fresh food. What the hell am I supposed to do to make these people understand that I want it fresh? I'm willing to wait. Put new goddamn patties on the grill and new fries in the frier and give me some of those.

They never, ever do though. I get the same lukewarm fries and they still pull pre-cooked burgers out of the little heat boxes that they keep them in. Changing the order a little usually does mean they have to make a new one, but even this seems to have mixed results. I actually watched some retarded chick scrape cheese off a McDouble once, wrap it back up and try to pass it off to me. I've never been so pissed at a fast food worker, and I try to sympathize with them in general because I've been there and had those shitty jobs.

What is the secret? Being really anal and returning the food over and over until you get something that's actually fresh? Wouldn't they just spit in your fries or something?

Then you should complain. There's no reason to wait longer than you normally would be plus the trip to walk it out. The longest cook time is probably the crispy chicken at 6 minutes so there's no reason for that.

Nobody waits that long on any of my shifts. And if it's even close to ten minutes they're definitely getting a pie or something. The BKs around here are all pretty much by the book though. We've had people move here who worked at stores a couple hours away or so that end up not knowing any procedures at all, so I wonder how the fuck they operate.

While they were still in the basket, I mean. I'm pretty sure it's like this at all stores where there's a metal strip at the back above the oil where the baskets can be hung. When it was busy there'd often be a finished basket or two above the oil, and not dumped straight into the salting area.
